If I'm on the ice fishing forums, I guess I must be at least thinking about it. Hate to see winter come though.
If you jig it,they will come..............

I'm getting there.  I bought a Vexilar this summer and have an Icegator on order.  I expect these 2 items to drasticly change my ice fishing experience.

YD--Normally I'm buzzed up on birds this time of the year but haven't gotten a new pup since my youngest died of cancer a bit over a year ago; so yes, I'm focusing a bit more on getting ready for the slab.  Was replacing hooks on my jigging spoons yesterday as a matter of fact.

I don't think I've ever been more excited for first ice. I've been stocking up on new equipment and planning fishing trips to some new places, just need some ice. I'll be spending Christmas break in Marquette this winter and I plan on spending every available minute on the ice. Just a few more weeks......BRING ON THE ICE!!!!!!!

Those are two great investments. Flashers are hands down my favorite peice of equipment and those ice gators look like sweet machines! good luck this winter

Since it's still bow season then rifle then back to bow, no time better than the present to work on the shanty, that'll give the ice time to form. ;)

I'm still enjoying the fall bite of trout and chars, and the ability to cover more than an 8" diameter circle at a time. No doubt that I'll be out as soon as the ice gets thick enough, though...

Just ordered new porch poles to replace my bent ones on my Trap Pro.  Need to work on the reels, new line.  I haven't had a day off in a month now, so I hope this will help the time go by until we can make some ice!

I wouldn't say excited but thinking about it anyway. Doing a few modifications on the shack, Installing a solar panel, adding a window and putting rope lights around the holes. Heading for South Dakota Sunday to chase a few pheasants and maybe pop a couple yotes. This run of warmer weather doesn't hurt my feelings, knowing all to well we will have plenty of cold in the near future. Tight lines to all.

I was wondering if anyone has fished the Milwaukee harbor?
copy and paste link. it looks pretty unreal although the ice seems to be pretty sketchy.
