I've been out this year, got the skunk along with the other 30 guys on the lake. Its really tough to ice. In about 5 trips there I've iced several wiper and one 9 inch walleye. That's it...You'll mark fish but they just don't bite.
Also looks like a possible winter kill out there, I noticed a large number of walleye and perch and shad frozen into the ice out there.

We were out by the inlet last Saturday, caught about 15 (12-14")wipers. Some of the 14 inchers were fat and healthy, no walleyes or others.
-
Those 12-14 whiper were probably white bass...I was out today...5-6 of ice in most places...edge were turning to crap and there was some open water around the boat ramp.
theres no white bass in Jackson

Agree. They are wiper I've caught a lot out there.

Went 4 days ago and it was decent, 2 wipers and one walleye. I noticed moving around helps between 6.5 and 7.5 feet. I choose a big circle to fish in. My usual lure bait combo wasn't working.
