Title: Tire upgrade on Suzuki King Quad
Post by: Ranger619 on Oct 26, 2017, 09:58 PM
Guys this year I’d like to upgrade my OEM tires on my Suzuki King Quad before ice fishing starts. Any suggestions from anyone ? I’ve run chains on the back so far. Thanks Glenn

I put Swamp Witch tires on my Suzuki Vinson last winter. I have chains for both front and rear and never used them but we had a short season also.

I bought a new SxS last summer that came with the Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires & I'm totally impressed with them. I'll be purchasing a set for my ATV when it needs new shoes !!

They ride and handle nice plus wear well. The ride is much better than tbe Afterburn street tires I run in summer.

Kenda Bear Claw HTR's....hands down the best tire I have run on an atv for every condition.  Got close to 1k on them now with minimal wear.  Do some searching and read the reviews.  They are unbelievable in snow.  I know I sound like a salesman but I was very impressed.  I will be buying another set.http://powersports.kendatire.com/en-us/find-a-tire/atvutv/utility-utv/bearclaw-htr/

I got mine on Ebay for 400 bucks free shipping.

Kenda Bearclaw HTR's are some of the best value tires out there IMO. On top of the value, they are no where near as heavy as other tires on the market.. depending on how big your machine is, tire weight is big as it will rob you of power. The Sedona Ripsaws are a great tire, the only downside is their weight... they are very heavy, 5+lbs/tire heavier than the HTR. The Sedona's a a full 1" lug, the HTR's are a little less than 1". Both tires do well in the snow, great trail tires, the HTR is OK in the mud.. the sedona is better.

I just picked up an 850 Sportsman and a new set of 27" Interco Reptile Radials. From a weight perspective they are a little heavier than the HTR's and a little less than the Sedona's. I have read some good things and am anxious to see how they perform this winter.

I have swamp lites on my 500 sportsman they work awesome in the mud and snow,
When they fill with mud or snow a little throttle clears them out and they grab traction
