Just received a msg that Jim's smelt camps is pulling their shacks tomorrow due to warm forecast

no. Jim's Smelt Camps in Bowdoinham

I went smelting at Leightons in Bowdoinham tonight. fished the 4:30 outgoing tide.
I got 63 tonight. don't know how many friend caught yet. He won't count them til after he gets up.  had 5 in the bucket in first 10 minutes. last half of the tide sucked. Caught maybe 20 in the last half of the tide. they are expecting to stay open for another week. all of the camps except Jim's are open. heard that Jim's closed cuz no fish or business. all of the other camp owners are pissed at him cuz he said ice was in bad shape which affects all of their businesses. There was another couple of guys there who were going to use their smelt for bait. They said that they got about 40.

ATG Jr  and I fished the incoming tide at Bakers on sat.  We got 53.  They said that yesterday they were pulling the camps.  I wished there was more time this year

Riverbend is done. Bakers is done, Jim's is done, James Eddy is done. I fished Leightons with my brother last night and we got our limits on the incoming tide. Leightons is hoping to stay open til Sunday. He did pull 1/2 his shacks. If you go, stay away from the open race holes.
