Maine Trip Belgrade area

Hey guys, the last couple years a friend and i have been putting a couple weekends a year on Sabattus with pretty goood luck. Plan on heading up again this weekend and thinking about doing our first day in the belgrade area. Hopefully get a couple of bigger fish before returning south. Can anyone tell me if there is any public access in or around the north bay of great pond? Another option we are consitering is north pond just because its smaller and shallower. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Gooing to be on foot and dont mind walking a mile or so if need be. Thanks

Big boat launch for cobbossee in monmouth.

I have been hearing mixed reviews on cobb but dont really know any access points for the lakes to the north. With a 4+ hour drive i would like to know exactly where im going so im trying to gather as much intel as i can.

The boat launch in monmouth off route 135 is large and very accessible. Plenty of room to park.

Ended up working Saturday and today so just shot up to sabattus for the day sunday. Crazy busy but size was disappointing.  Almost 30 fish between two of us . Most 2-4  lbs  3 in 6-7 range 1 at 11lbs and one bigger one got away for next time. Gonna try again later this week. Any snow reports for belgrades?

Sounds like you had a good time chasing flags....11 pounds is respectable for sure, especially after the derby
