KIDS are you ready for another Ice fishing clinic??????

It's making ice and the clinic is getting close.
I have a Eskimo quick fish2i, a quickfish3, and an eskimo kids med float suit I am doing a separate raffle on, tickets are $10.00 ea or 6 for $50.00
Hope to have enough buyers to at least pay for the items.
Lots of other prizes in the general raffle.
Need a few more volunteers also volunteers for bait..
A great time should be had by all.

Hey Steve,
My dad is in a wheelchair (he was there last year.) Can I bring the 4-wheeler to at least get him down to the ice, or better yet, get him on the ice?

yes you can take him on the ice with your wheeler as long as there is 7" of ice per my permit for the clinic.
Take him out and bring the wheeler off the ice until you pick him up.

Just a reminder that this event is 100% free.
Anyone that has participated in the past know how much fishing gear is won by the kids, literally arms full of gear :)
A lot of the prizes are donated and a lot of the prizes are also purchased directly by FortPeck1, the organizer of the event.
There will be a donation jar on site and if you can afford a few bucks it would be extremely helpful in keeping this even going strong into the future.
If you cant afford a few bucks, its totally understandable and a donation is in no way contingent on kids coming out and having a fun day!

Great time had by all.
Alot of first time Kids fishing.
The girl with the biggest fish was 5 yrs old, never fished, her trout was 14"-15".
You couldn't get the smile off her face and her Quote " I caught dinner".
Thanks to all the volunteers, Msfw for the great lunch.

Steve, Mike, and all who helped….THANK YOU! My 5 year old son is an addict, and didn’t want to stop. My 3 year old daughter was a little sick, but caught her first fish through the ice, and had a great time

For what it's worth, there is a Cub Scout event on Saturday, January 28, 2023, so I would love it if the Ice Fishing Clinic were on a Sunday (the 29th) this year to allow Scouts to attend.

I was out Sunday afternoon, and there was about 5” of clear ice with some snow on top.

Hello all,
I got informed by FWP that The kids ice clinic needs 1mil/2mil insurance this year. [ after 15 years']
I' still looking for an agent to furnish a 1 day event policy.
Anyone who comes to the clinic know any agents?
Any insurance agents on Shanty?.
No insurance, no clinic.

Fortpeck 1 may you and the group who put on the clinic be able to afford the cost of insurance coverage. Just an idea if there is no cost to attend the clinic maybe place a donation jar where people register their children with a sign mentioning the insurance cost. Best to you and everyone who makes the clinic happen each year.

Snowy and windy in Missoula but forecasted to diminish though this AM though. Dress warm and be ready to have a fun day :)

Another clinic in the books, 75 kids.
biggest fish 13" trout, prize a jigging jaw jacker.
small fish boy , prize full Eskimo float suit, small fish girl, prize full Eskimo float suit.
weather was windy and cold but bearable, most stuck it out, what troopers.
A big thank you to the volunteers and all the sponsors.
Also a big thank you to mtsfw for an excellent hot lunch and hot coco
Great clinic , fun was had by all.

Fortpeck1(Steve) good to see your post clinic report nice sized turn out of children . Very nice prizes for the smallest fish many parents would not buy a float suit for their child as the suit may only fit their child for one or two seasons and not the cheap to purchase.
