I too will start north. Fingers are crossed to be on ice BEFORE Thanksgiving!! Still to be on ice by the end November. I will take that too😉😉

Set up my 1st trip to n.e. south dakota to head north around the 13th of December. Can't wait, keeping a close eye on the weather and starting to get my gear ready. Hoping to follow that up with a trip to Nebraska for new years or back up to south Dakota.

Picked a good pair of used 4 wheelers for or trips up north yesterday. Now gotta get them equipped.

Weather and fishing was great. Had a blast in ND. Had the lakes to myself. If the weather doesn't get cold in SD. I maybe going back to central ND😉😉 But for now my itch is scratched. The question is..... for how long.

FYI all eyes,pikes,perch,gills and a darn carp was catch a released. I only kept the 1lb 3oz gill.

That's awesome. Are you mounting the bluegill? Thinking I'm gonna have to move our trip back a week to ensure good ice for our trip.

Yes mounting the gill. Yeah SD is not in the ice making mode...yet 😉😉 I am just waiting for the 1.5-2.5" for the airboat. My favorite time is that super early ice.

Looks like this week's weather is finally looking a lot like winter. 7 days of it in SD, will be on ice by the 10th of December 👏🏻 Then I just love the trickle down effect. Then northern Iowa (getting closer to hm👍🏻) Then next up is southern Iowa and Nebraska👏🏻👏🏻 (That right in our backyard 🎣) Then finally northern Missouri and KANSAS!!! It's finally going to happen 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Watched the weather just now and that forecast will sure make some ice, just hope it holds up. I used my LX5 from a dock on Saturday.
