Bay Mclaurin
« on: Jan 15, 2013, 08:07 AM »
Does anybody know how much they charge for a day of ice fishing with Hut?
The only way the girls would come fishing is if they had a heated shack!!

Thank you,
Dave

Hey Dave, It's been awhile since they've had huts for rent on that bay. If you drive another 10km east, (baie Clement)  they offer huts for rent there. Hope this helps.

They charge $40.00 a day for a medium shack and $50.00 for a large.
Firewood is included.

Is that per shack or per person?
I assume you drill your own holes!

Per shack, holes are extra (5-6 bucks for 5 holes I think)

At first ice - walleye, pike and perch
Once the shacks are on mostly pike and perch

How much for access & minnows, I have a portable shack see my avatar, is the fish good to eat this year, heard there were badly affected by worms 2-3 years ago, I went there once in the 1990`s in a tournament by les moins jeunes de Gatineau, only one bite all day for me but ther was free beers & I was drinking much more then  :)

They charge $5.00 to access the ice and minnows will run you about $8.00 a dozen (depending on size).  Fish looks ok this year.

I get my minnows at Perris on Jacques Cartier near the Ottawa River, there must also have some on Maloney Boulevard the Chasse & Pêche store near the driving range.
