Does anyone use Tica baitcasting reels for laker jigging?  I'm looking to replace the reel on my Genz rod. Thanks for any help.

no baitcasters, but 90% of my rods have tica spinning gear and I highly recomend them, if there baitcaster is half the reel the spinning gear is, then you will be very satisfied

I was looking for a spinning reel for my ice rod. Most people here liked the Ticas. So I went to Gander Mountian and checked them out the SB500 for my self. I have to say I was very impressed with this super smooth reel. I bought two of them for both of my new rods I made this fall. I dont think that you can go wrong with this reel in any application.

I have the Tica SB500's on all my ice fishing rods.

Even during the coldest days of winter, the drag on these reels is super smooth.  I don't think you would regret buying them. ;)

Yeah, great drags, smooth retrieves, and the anti-reverse doesn't budge so when youre jigging or setting the hook its right there
