Clam Ice Armor Edge Parka question

I hate buying something on line, but have been thinking about getting this jacket. I would appreciate hearing from those that own one and your thoughts. It appears that this jacket is one that you need to layer underneath and is lighter than the Extreme.

I like mine. I layer up as needed & have had no issues.
