Yep, that would be just great when you break through and the wheels are spinning while those floats keep you away from the ice where you MIGHT be able to crawl out.

i think it would be a great saftey feature,personally i  could care less if its a pain to get back up on the ice if it kept me and my gear from sinking to the bottom after finding a soft spot.bet it would be easier that retrieveing it off the bottom of the lake.

Buddy has an older Honda 4 wheeler that he modified up to bigger tires so much so that it floats with a smaller person on. Probably wouldn't want 2 on though.

that attachment looks pretty neat; next step up would be getting one of those DUKW boats, like the ones the Red Sox and Patriots rode in for their victory parades. Actually, you could outfit one of those beasts with some downriggers, sonar, and whatever else, and if you did break through, could set out the trolling rods and make the best of a bad situation. Could be really handy between the time the ice is too rotten for fishing, and ice out......

Im gonna check into building a set,if it works i will sell alot cheaper than 1400 bucks and 400 shipping.

LOL,mfg says the bombardier can take water up to the middle of the fuel tank,i wont try it till spring so i can test it at a boat ramp.but i know my idea will work,and a heck of a lot cheaper. ;Doh yah 5400 tax included.and worth every penny.

and twice as much money,not street legal,wont go 55 mph,ect.all i wont the foats for is a safty measure on late and early ice.

I've been wantin' one of these  for a looong time. Way too expensive .. but  it will go on dry land, water, ICE.

Beleive it or not, on a few lakes in Wisconsin these are mandatory if you take you 4 wheeler on the ice.
