Transducer Temp Probe?
« on: Dec 31, 2012, 04:17 PM »
I have a transducer I want to use for ice fishing, it has one big cord heading to the transducer, then a cord coming out of the transducer with a temp probe on the end. Since obviously I don't need the temp probe, can I just snip it off at the transducer and cover the exposed wire with some silicone sealer or something? This sonar does not have the capability of showing temp, so there should be no juice even running the temp probe. I just want to get rid of 15' of cord.

Snipped it, worked fine. Disregard.
