Showdown

Does anyone use a Showdown? I was thinking about getting my dad one and want to hear thoughts from someone who has used one before I do by. May try and look for a used one if reviews are good.

Not the cadillac of flashers but if looking for a simple, affordable option with a vertical display they fit the bill. Used one before I picked up an lx-7 and still have one for the wife or others to use.

I think the vertical may be easier for him. They look like they are decent.

Have the 2.0, works very well, zoom feature is good. Easy to visualize depth on the vertical screen.

That'd be the way to go. Used ones can be found pretty cheap in that 150-200 range (be sure to check if it's the single or dual beam version if that matters to you). For the price of a new one, I'd rather save an extra couple hundred and get an LX6 or LX7 for the better features.
