Skim ice around the south end of the lake this morning.  Maybe it will lock up before Christmas.

Was at browns today 3 inches on the grey ice. The clear had 2.5 inches 40s and 50s  all week probably wont be here hopefully it holds but probably wont be safe after tues or wed.

I was on Fitch yesterday afternoon - pancake ice, very spooky - about 4" - no bite, 2 dink gills and 1 wanna-be-bass - I won't go out on it after today

I fished Brown's last night, 3+" of hard black ice.  I fished 8-10 feet and never marked a fish.  Think there's too much light getting down there during the day, maybe morning would be better.

I fished Friday morning out of Brown's toward Snake Hill.  3.5-4" of hard black ice, a little thicker in toward shore.  No fish to be seen (and I drilled a lot of holes, from 9' to 18').  Access from Brown's looked sketchy, but a couple careful steps and you're over the danger (only a few inches deep right at shore).

Lake Lonely has lots of people fishing, but that lake is much shallower so freeze must be good.  Big problem is litter and many ice fishermen taking everything they catch has really reduced the fishing on Lake Lonely.  Use to have nice sized bluegills/pike/perch/crappies, but those days are long gone.

I had a few fantastic days early season this year on lonely but i agree, especially once the season gets into gear, the fishing productivity starts to die off. I always snag any extra litter i find out there. I hate seeing that on the ice.

Was out from Browns this evening with between 4-6 inches from ice.

The next few days is going to take a toll of the ice!

Thanks

I saw someone headed across the south end going west from Brown's on what looked like a lawnmower a week or so ago.  Prolly wouldn't work once there's a little snow.
