Out right now, first time ever on this lake. Actions kinda slow, couple hits but nothing on the ice. Nice day though.

Sorry to interrupt but,
Just wanted to give an "atta boy" to Mister Twister customer service. My electric fisherman fillet knife was having issues running after many years of use. I took it apart and discovered the metal plate under the trigger was worn out. I emailed Mister Twister to see if I could buy a replacement part. My email was immediately answered, requesting my mailing info and asking if I needed a new trigger also. I sent my info back, declining the trigger that I didn't need. Today, (3 days since the original email) I received a new contact plate, no charge! That's how to treat your customers   :)

Picked up my first "real" shanty today, got a older frabill ranger model, anyone know if I can still find a travel cover for it? Frabill discontinued them and nothing on eBay, what about a boat upholster, think they could whip one up at a reasonable price? Going to have to blue tarp it this weekend on the Big O

I now understand the frustration that comes with marking tons of fish and not getting them to bite. Plenty of interest but few takers. Very light bite when they did hit

I made my own flip up shanty and wanted a travel cover. Before I made one I looked on ebay. You can buy an Eskimo travel cover for 19.99, free shipping. It fit just right for my sled.
But I realize ebay is not a sponsor here. If I lived closer I would check out Bartel's for a cover.

One option is to size your sled up to a JetSled, if close, and look up a cover for that.

Yes most anyway.  Without the additional few inches they had said we'd get plus the wind, the snow has laid down to 6-10.

I still love the VX-1. Great unit. I fish with a guy that uses the LX-7, there is a difference but for the money, VX-1

I went to the jet sled site along with Eskimo, otter and clam and doesn't look like anyone makes this size (38x48 sled). I e-mailed frabill customer support, maybe they give me some insight, even still a local marina said under $50 for plain black.

Anther dawn to dark day for me today and like I said yesterday if I was an diller trying to make money on the holes I drilled today I would have been uhhh broke again, lol. Decided to just wing it and go somewhere id never been and just hop around looking for perch. Every hole I drilled I caught numerous eyes to bad they were all 8 inches lol. I just couldn't get away from them and I made big moves too. Didn't find the perch, but covered a lot of ice and it was a non stop day. Lake was great for the snowmobile and saw wheelers out as well and they were having no problems getting around. Might wanna bring a retractable shovel though to clear your area. Was checked today again, this time by the troopers on sleds, just asked for liscense. Think ill take abreak from the 17hr day, start to finish and fish Otsego tomarrow then back at it sunday and Monday. Good luck to all that go

It's not that fishing is so important, it's just that so many things in life are so much less important
