Anybody beem on Edgewater? usally first to freeze down there..

Me and fred spudded that weds, got too 9 feet, spud went through so fast almost lost it, inch of snow crap at a shove line, so we moved to a different northshore location nearbye to get on, then on Thursday seen 3 different guys walk out of edgewater to 25 fow, someone was watching over them, edgewater froze in 2oo yrd sheets with small shove lines, some is thicker ice and some got air trapped in it, USE A SPUD.

thanks snag, not looking to rush it here...was just wondering as experience tells us Edgewater usally is the first deep water spot to be good to go.

Appreciate the info!

Just got my first oneida northern. Hell of a fight on my little ultra light and 3lb test. I wanted to keep it but I know there isn't a ton of them in here so I put her back. Nice looking fish..

Here's what it ate...

It'll eat.

a Very strong lake effect squall is gonna form around 5pm today up here, the updrafts from these micro storms pull a lot of air from around them into the storm like fuel, if the squall sets up around parish, Oneida lake might receive some 20mph west winds, could blow that snow you guys got off the lake....

IMPOSTOR!

The whole lake is iced over. I would assume people will be hitting Lewis Point soon if there aren't a few guys out there already. I am not sure how much ice they have though.

Nice job Andy and Bruce    Come on Saturday.... Got lots of new goodies to play with  :icefish: :icefish: :icefish:    I got the Elite 4 ice pack, St. Croix Premier28m and the 6061 to pair it with.... Not super happy with the rod, it has a rattle to it ??? and the guides don't line up all that great, may be going back...... for a fraction of the price I got the Berkley Lightning rod combo also 28m and it seems decent. I also got an 11 pound propane tank, should have gotten the 5 I think, this one is taller than I thought it was going to be. Lesson learned pay attention to the specs :-[

Thanks DD. A friend of mine has the elite 4, it is a nice unit.

The 7 day forecast looks like some nice cold temps coming up. If we can just dodge the snow.

Not bad for the end of December!

Hey DD i had a run the last 2 years with st. c rods. i broke a rod a week and was not beating on them. spooled up a new reel and hooked it up with a st. rod ran the line thru the eyes tugged on the drag which was set way to lite to land any eyes and the rod snapped 5 inches down from the tip.as much as i hate to support the big stores gander has guide series rods that i really like and have had for a while now.haven't had a st. c make it a whole season in a while
