Sounds like fun. Is access by foot still pretty safe? Would like to get the kids out one last time. Could not even walk onto Diefenbaker last weekend.

Where I've been fishing it's pretty good really soft the first 20" then hard ice for 10"or less. As the auger goes through. Just need to use caution and common sence probably a good idea to pack some ice picks and a throw rope for an emergency. you never know!!!!  I do....

We didn't see any trucks on the ice. Don't risk it. Getting soft around the edges later in the day. Enjoyed some decent pike fishing with nine flags. Son was first to all of them. Fun day.

Fished on Saturday.  The ice is over 12 inches but soft and the bottom of the holes look rotten.  However, the ice wasn't popping and cracking or giving any indication it was weak.
Fishing was a mixed bag of Perch, 1 walleye and a pike.
Early to bed...early to rise...fish all day...make up lies.

ice is still in good shape for walking for the last 4 days of the hard water season. shorelines of course are sloppy other than that I'm still catching perch and walleyes 22' lots of huge female perch that are released and a few 12"walleyes. steady action for those who can make it out.  good luck....talk to you in November.

By boat launch it fine at shoreline. I was out sat and had my best day of the year. Prob 12 perch six being hogs. And I also caught about 6 little baby eyes. No jack. Threw them all back. Had such a good day sat I went back sun at same time same place same bait and hooks and got skunked sun.
