Had 2 of those. Gave one to a friend and then lost mine one day. It was a great tool, just easy to lose. Thanks for the link, maybe I will get me another 2 of them and keep them both.

It had a lanyard on it and one day it was gone. Just had the lanyard hooked to my belt loop.

i'd buy more useful things like jigs or headlamp or eye glasses before spending on it.
ties wrong knot for ice fishing. it would just be in the way to tie ice jigs the correct way.

I have one but I forget to use it. It is not really for tying the knot, it just holds the jig eye and has a funnel to thread the line through.

I use the improved clinch knot to make my jigs hang horizontal when needed.

I was using the improved clinch knot but keeping a horizontal jig level was a  pain..had to adjust it after every fish.i now use the rapala knot which is similiar to the surgeon loop knot.the jig stays in the right position and get better jigging action with it.

So do you pull the knot tight against the jig? Every video I watched shows you leave a space in between the lure and the knot.

no leave a loop and the horizontal jig will balance at the correct angle.i use 3mm fiskas and they swivel at a perfect angle and no repositioning the jig anymore.these jigs were made to sit at a slight angle not level.ive used it with different jigs tho too.try it out sometime.the jigging action really comes alive not being tied direct to the line.i think I get better hook up ratio too because the fish can grab it from the side and get hooked also.

yeah I was so tired of repositioning the jig on every drop.it works great..its strong too.i caught lots of decent bass, perch and panfish with no break offs.it doesnt matter how big of loop you tie either.the fish don't seem to care.

You might appreciate this tool when you reach that age where you can’t thread a jig eye with 2 Lb mono without reading glasses. That is the only reason I bought one.

That would be me...even with new glasses, light line and small jigs can be a challenge. I do use those No-Knots in some situations but still have to tie them. May invest in one of those Tyepros...can't hurt. Oh to be young again  :-\...
