Heading out....

Well checked the ice yesterday, 4-6" of ice so heading out tomorrow. This is by red deer, alberta. Can't think of a better way to celebrate Remberance Day in Canada than the freedom of sitting out on a frozen lake catching a few rainbows with friends. And to our american friends down south, the cold is coming.

ha ha not only do I get to go out tommorrow but I just got the call that they've finished the custom canopy for my shanty so I get to use the finished product for the first time tommorrow too...life is goooooood :D ;D :D

Well Alpinehigh, Van and myself headed out yesterday.  Ice on some lakes was a bit scary but we managed to find some decent ice and had a great day although we were a bit limited in what water we could cover.  Only caught four perch and a small walleye but it was still great to get out!  Who would have thought we'd be out by Nov 11!...lets hope it bodes well for the rest of the season.  Can't wait to get back out on Saturday ;D
