Hi there everyone, I am looking for information about fish finders and fish flashers. I go ice fishing in Canada (Saskatchewan) usually every winter and was looking for a reasonable fish finder or flasher. Can members please offer advice regarding both, Ideally hand held without too much space taken up, as I visit from the UK.
Thanks.

there is a handheld unit that is quite small compared to other units used for ice fishing from marcum technologies called marcum showdown troller 2.0. easily packed to go anywhere. seen some in saskatchewan (saskatoon) for sale but not for awhile. maybe try the fishing hole stores in saskatchewan or amazon ?. type in marcum technologies more info on the net. good luck.

Thanks for that ripnflutter, as i know nothing about fish flasers and what they do, i did a search for the one you mentioned and no one seems to have it, however i did find several garmin ones out there, but i have no idea what they really do or how good they are.
There seem to be loads on amazon ca, but i have no idea about them, manufacturers such as Garmin, Lucky, Venterior, Ronshin and others, i could do with some info on these.
Cheers.

did some looking myself and yeah nothing showing up on marcum troller. But Garmin striker 4 ice bundle would be a decent lower priced and somewhat portable unit as you should be able to knock it down fairly good for packing up for transportation not sure of your price range but the ice bundle is pretty well plug and play from what I could tell. Some good deals out there for the Garmin. Good luck.

I saw a Garmin Striker 4 ice bundle this last weekend that a friend had just purchased, it is a very small unit compared to most and quite inexpensive.

Agreed on the Garmin striker 4 ice bundle, nice entry level compact unit... Best bang for the buck out there in my opinion.
