I think it's a for sure possibility on some bodies of water.

I'll be checking buddies around Clare starting next week but I think down around Irish Hills by then is iffy.  Those little down-low lakes that Mr Costa is thinking about might be ready sooner, though. Enquiring minds will want to know...
I like to sit around on the ice doing nothing because my wife won't let me do it at home.

It was dead calm last night, and I was sure the lake would be skimmed over. It got windy again during the night. Nothing yet.

luckily they are backing off the forecast of 2-4 inches and saying around an inch for SE. I saw a lot of ponds today locked up, and some ice on smaller lakes with open water too. lets hope for this wind to lay down monday or tuesday night... fingers crossed!

The 80 acre lake where I live was totally skimmed over this morning, but it is snowing and the ice is gray. Clark lake has no ice at all. Lake Columbia has skim ice in the channels, but the lake is open. Also, Knutson's has a used Dave Genz Trap Pro for $88.00.

With all this snow I now pray for some wicked northwest wind to keep it moving. Sketchy honeycomb first ice again. Be safe friends. Just buy some big pike minnows throw em in a bucket and stand outside and practice until it's safe. Peace and love.

Clark Lake is wide open and full of ducks. Vineyard has some ice by the county park on 124. Wamplers looks to have ice, but it was snowing so hard, I couldn't see out very far. Allens Lake and that entire chain has no ice at all. I came home and punched thru on my lake in 2 hits. About 1 inch.
