Current sales on Flashers??
« on: Nov 22, 2017, 08:44 AM »
I am/have been looking online for sales on flashers.  More specifically a Marcum LX-7 or 9.  Anyone know of any good used ones for sale or sales at retail locations?

I haven't seen anything that comes to mind.  Franks is offering a coupon for all those who are unable to attend "Shanty Days". If you go here ( https://www.franksgreatoutdoors.com/blog/franks-great-outdoors-shanty-days-2017/ ) and scroll down they will give you coupon for an online purchase. Not sure how much though.

I know the Facebook Marketplace has some good stuff some times. I'm not on FB so I can't see if there were any Marcums.

Good luck on the find.

so far the above mentioned CL add might be your best bet.  Otherwise you can constantly check amazon for a rare flash sale.  With cyber Monday sales coming up I would also check out Dicks.  2 years in a row now I have saved decent money on big ticket items but you do need to utilize all your discounts which they usually let you apply on top of any sales.  Normally they have $50/off $250 + 15-20% normal price and an additional 10% off for signing up for their email.  So you can see it adds up fast on a $700 flasher.

Thanks for the help guys.  Found a really good deal on a Marcum LX-7.  Super excited about using this thing.  Ice can't get here soon enough.

With all the LCD graphs coming out these are going end up getting phased out, the performance you can get out of a 300$ LCD graph compared to a 300 flasher isn't even comparable.

Ya missed it. Last spring/summer when MC Sports and Gander Mt. Went out of business they were giving the ice fishing stuff away. I bought a ton of stuff.

I use the deeper fish finder , charges quick ,  puts the flasher right on your smartphone or tablet , has no wires so you do not need to keep taking it out of the hole , fits in my pocket , and is a quarter of the price .

so how is the interference rejection, and is it dual beam, and how long does it work in the cold, and does it disconnect at random, and how much is service on them, and where do you send for service?
i know the app is free or used to be is all i know besides the talk we've had on them here in the past.
so now that more are being used, we should have more in field use reports about them.

Check out all the review videos on youtube .  I actually did attach mine to a foot of rope so that I don't have to reach into the water to take it out .   Also it can be used all season long on lakes and rivers .
