Please welcome Eyoyo Underwater Fishing Cameras.https://amzn.to/3siEgXn
Lefty its 1 1/2 in, and they are key hooks with a 90 degree bend in them. You set the rod tip under one hook and then run th line around the other so that the rod tip is pulled out from under the first hook, setting the line.

Hounds, not to be a pain in the... Any pics with it all set as being use while fishing? how the key hooks work as the trigger? where the line runs? I'm trying to get the whole picture to build my own. It would be greatly appreciated, thanks. bart
Hounds, thanks! I'm seeing it now. Question, the hook on the right where the line goes around, is the "L" hook necessary or just a stud type hook (the bend cut off,"l") would it work?
Added a camera holder made of PVC put into a rod holder
I only have one rod I use with mine, not sure the other I'm thinking about using will have enough energy for a good hookset. Dryfire it at home by tying a weight to your set up and drop it and you can start fine tuning it.
Good idea with the electrical tie. I'll bet a snap swivel would work too.

New Smitty Sled(Image removed from quote.) . Excellent !! " Hounds Excellent build! I love how strong it looks and is. The way you used a wide variety of of TEES and Elbows. With the amount of cross joints you have in both directions and side to side and front to back. It looks like it is very very strong. It looks like it would hold way more weight than one could pull across the snow. I know that Tees and any joint are not always cheap but they help give so much extra strength with tied in PVC pipes at certain places. I can't wait to see how it looks all loaded up on the ICE! The Hoarder in me Yells pack it on there Brother! .. LOL .. It looks so light also. I Like how you have hung the shovel and extra rope. Everything is in it's place and out of your way. Do you think you may need a couple of cross overs attached to the wood blocks from one ski block to the opposite side? ( just to limit the sway of the skis (possible little wobble) and even more strength?) Thank you for showing us your PVC project. Cool. AltaIce
They are Lag bolts, I'm not sure about the cross members that may be the next alteration. I also plan to add 4 Lawn mower wheels about an 1/8 to 1/16th lower than the skis. Thats for when I'm on pavement or cement that has been shoveled. I still have to glue her up yet, but have everything dry fitted and ready. Loaded it up to make sure everything fits. Here is another pic with it loaded.(Image removed from quote.)
