I haven't used the DeWalt.
I couldn't be happier with the Milwaukee Mud Mixer...

My buddy has one of those and it’s impressive for sure but I have a bunch of dewalt already and already have chargers etc.

any specific reason why your targeting a mud mixer for an 8"

Any newer brushless dewalt i.e. the 996, (i think thats the model) should be more than adequate for ice use with that size hole.
