Could someone please let me know if you can use a 4 wheeler on otisco and can you leave from the campground site? I fished from there in the summer,never winter, thank you. Oh, does anyone know the name of the hotel right off the 81 exit for otisco, thank you very much.

Was on the main lake today. Measured 6 1/2" of ice. Saw 3 or 4 machines on the ice. As for hotel you must be thinking of Cortland as I don't think Lafayette has a hotel. Google Cortland hotel. BTW, 2 small tigers for me. That's beginning to sound like a broken record.

....hit the lake did pretty good 6 fer 6 limits...50 gills 14 perch 2 crappies...i fished from 9am -4 pm ..i lost 11 crappies i had poop line on my tipdowns new line on them now..oh yea and a visitor 4 times mr muskrat kept popping up in my hole in my shanty

thannks surf..i try i guess its the jig i use i was catching them non stop on gold i switched to a silver n green dot nuttin i tryed several colors thry would just look...

the crappie are schooling in several different spots this yr the normal spot i go has been quiet....i sent u pm trapper..i would a gotten more crappie but my line wasnt to good .

its all good now..i still got a kick out of that muskrat he poped rite up in my shanty scrared the hell outta at first nothing like sitting in your shanty and having a rat come flying up in your hole look around and take off..the secind time he grabbed mybtransducer..then swam by a few times then wham there he is again with his paws on to of ice looking around..ill never get that one i wanted a pic but i was on the fish and didnt want to stop and wsit for him ...lol

jiffyjerk,there is a hotel in tully right off of rt 81 on rt 80,i think it is a best western,
and are you talking the camp grounds at the south end (at ryfuns otisco lake camp grounds)or the park ,
at the camp grounds there is a boat launch but you will have to go around the causeway,if you try to go through the causeway you will go thru and get wet. if at the park you can get on real easy

Fished the area near the dam 10 fow. was a little slow but we managed a few perch and gills. Buddy got a nice largemouth and I lost a musky at the hole. Wasn't too bad of a day for our first time up there. we will be back. Did have a couple guys near us that were fishing in their sneakers.

I ended up with 25 blue gills, cleaned and in the bag about 2pounds.

Went out last night also. Only 1 crappie for me too. Right of the bat and that was it. Did find more of those bigger gills that like to eat at night though. I have all the gills i need for now they all went back to swim another day.
