Best holiday 'Nog
« on: Dec 24, 2021, 09:53 AM »
If you like egg nog like I do, I recommend going to get some of this if you can find it. Best I've ever had, and I think I've had just about all of 'em. I love 'nog. Been getting this the last 5 years or so; usually at a HyVee. Far better than the Kemps premium Old-fashioned I used to get, IMO. Just picked up another carton early this am.  ;D

The little dairy's seem to have it all over the big ones when it comes to 'nog....that I've noticed over the years.
HINT: When tapping a bit of nutmeg on top of yer 'nog, make SURE IT ISN'T the little container of Thyme.
Don't ask me how I know.

SAY WHAT??? Since yer up so early, run 🏃‍♂️ to the store and get some.....ya can't be draggin' thru the holidays without a nice chilled glass of 'nog !  And it tastes even better in 'nog glasses, at least it does in mine ! However, for you, my I suggest the Marty Moose glasses like cousin Eddie and Clark were using in Christmas vacation....?  ;D

No, not the bought stuff. Tastes like a thick, vanilla-ish sweet cream with a hint of nutmeg flavor...

Fishin's far more important anyway...get some ! 🐟

Freezing drizzle here, then an ice storm, then heavy snow on Tuesday...this Winter's a wash already.  >:(

I love nog but am diabetic so I gotta a box of sugar free jelllo instant pudding mixed it up with fresh ground nutmeg and cinnamon. After it. Set whipped in milk to desired. Thtikness and it was surprisingly very good.  Vanilla  pudding. By the way.

A banana will thicken it nicely, not traditional but really good just the same.
