I sure hope there is enough ice for next week's sportsman club derby.  I look forward to this one every year. I get to go to my camp and spend three to four days of fishing with the holiday weekend.  I feel like we have been cheated out of fishing with the all the ups and downs with the weather.  I was up a week ago and I was ready to put the boat in and start trolling for the northerns.
tip up tip down but for sure tip a few

fished renshaw today, anywhere between 4-6 in of ice but closer to 5. 2 flags 1 pike and about 20 gills . everyone i talked to had a slow day. some guys came out for an hour at different points during the day and left. between everyone pike fishong there was probably 50 tip ups out at one point, and onlt say about 8 flags all day(most of em wind) and 3 pike. certantly didnt make any ice today. accses at green point is very wet also

Renshaw is the northern most bay of the big pond. Drive up rte. three and take at left on greene point go to end and bay is on your right.

Or drive a little farther and turn left on Reshaw Bay Rd.

Thanks for the great report Billy!

Is Sandy Pond also called North Pond? I think I may have fished it in 89 or 90.
Looking forward to some "crappie" nights!

Sandy Pond is made up of the North and South Pond.  I have never fished either but will as soon as the ice gets safe.  Nearly all the talk you will hear about Sandy Pond will be about the North Pond.
Stay on top ;)

Head inland from Chaumont Bay, up to the river on some of the bays or to some lakes up in St Lawrence county, it's mainly open water on CB.....

When venturing north, take into consideration those winds of the last two days. Don't under estimate the destruction the waves created with the ice conditions up in that area. Might want to get a report before making the trip.
