Linking two flip-overs?
« on: Nov 08, 2019, 09:32 AM »
I would like to have the ability to link two Calm Scouts. I love the individual mobility of the the one-man, but sometimes it is nice to share a school of crappie and some beers.

I’m thinking two shacks face-to-face with the bottom poles almost touching, draping a tarp between the two, and securing with bungie cords. Anyone try something like this? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks! I was able to view the Clam Hub Link System, and the older Clam Trap Link System. I really wish that Clam made something like that to link two Scouts.

But, I really want to come-up with something generic enough to work with various flip-overs. It doesn’t have to be pretty or perfect, just something that I could use when the need arises.

Put the two flip-overs in wind break position facing each other. Stake them down.  Put a tarp over them using bungee cords and a couple more ice screws to keep it from becoming an ice kite!!  ;)2 :flex: :icefish:

That is why I need direct visual contact! Well, that and I want to share a homebrew keg.

Sounds like you need a hub shelter. Nothing wrong with having more than one ice hut.

Also sounds like I need an invite to fish on one of these days you are bringing a keg out on the ice
