P.A. area fishing
« on: Dec 18, 2005, 01:12 PM »
I used to love this time of year in Saskatchewan, nothing was better than sitting on the ice trying to catch some supper. Unfortunately I have relocated to Alberta and don't have near the options for hardwater fishing.

I am heading to Prince Albert over Christmas and was hoping to do some ice fishing. Hopefully the weather will hold because I won't have  shack.

I used to do a little fishing in this area when I went to SIAST, but haven't been out there for 5-6 years. I am looking for perch and walleye mainly, and have had some good days on Sturgeon Lake in the past. If any one has any info on how the fishing and ice conditions are there or any other lakes close to P.A. (Emma. Anglin, Narrow Hills Park area, etc.) I would appreciate an update.

Hey Medowpikeman, good to see someone was able to try Tobin.
Did you fish the river section or the flats? How did you make out with the big pike?
Was there access for a truck or snowmobile only?
:)

Cool, thanks for the info MeadowPikeman. Nice that you found good numbers of fish but it is unusual that you did not find a few of the big girls. :-\
Good luck on your next outting. ;)
