Any pics of home made spring bobbers?
« on: Dec 28, 2008, 11:24 PM »
Does anybody have any pics of home made spring bobbers. I would like to try to make my own. Any tips and pics would be very helpful.

No pic,but get a full size Bic lighter,in them there's a spring, insert through rod tip 1/4 or a little more and wrap it to your rod with tread and a little super glue.If you like better visibility dip tip of spring in white jig paint, let dry them dip in orange, let dry, them open the tip on spring with a needle(the paint clogs the spring)I have also stretched one end of the spring straight about a inch and wrapped it to my rod inside the tip. This is the best spring Bobber there is,I've used them for a long long time, the spring is way more sensitive the the frabill popper.

I have heard of guys using guitar string as bobbers. The end where the loop, or ball is.
