Got out this afternoon for a few hours! Didn't do quite as good as Tues. Nite but almost! Kept only the crappie and the bulls!

The only thing, Fishuhalik, I know there are bigger crappies in the lake I'm fishing but I haven't found them yet! ;D

Heck, 11" -12", I'd say those are perty decent!! In the Twin Cities area, you're lucky if you can find a dozen 9"s in a day at most lakes!

Nice mess of gills and crappies you caught there. I have only got a chance to get out a few times this year and have done well on two of the days. I have caught three of my biggest fish that i can remember through the ice for the speicies that they were. I got a 14 inch crappie and my dad caught a 10 inch pumpkinseed and a 9 inch bluegill at one lake. i also made two two other lakes and got 3 12-14 inch perch at one of the lakes and two monster bluegillls and two nice perch at another lake. the monster bluegills were almost 11 inches and 10 inches and the perch were 12 - 14. Ill let you know where the lakes were in PM. I have not got a chance to make it up to jean yet this year but i will starting after the first of the year.

u see guys preachers can catch fish to..... this preacher... another preacher on here doesn't do to bad occasionally (me) and that priest from what was it BC with that eye record!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Almost have enough for a fish fry, Slipbob! I'm going to keep working at it though! I've got a house full of kids (were foster parents) and they love eating the panfish I catch! I don't keep any trout anymore but I keep my freezer stocked with the pannies!!! ::) "Man shall not live on bread alone"!! (Matt.4:4)

Actually Slipbob, I tried the Demon but wasn't having any luck with it (different lake) so I got out one of my new Glo jigs from Jammin Jigs and they started smacking it! One of the glo jigs (horizontal) they hit it so hard, it snapped my line!

They are cool looking fish,aren't they,Tommer! I like them for a number of reasons! They're easy to filet, they're hard to figure out and hard to catch sometimes which really makes it a challenge, You catch a slab and you've got a nice filet, and if ya catch one usually you'll catch more, and they are great tasting, too! ::)

Appreciate ya thinking of me, Zeke! As I said the Lord really does bless me! I counted the other day how many bags of filets I got in the freezer! 19 bags right now (20 to 30 filets per bag) so I'm doing pretty good! But I'll remember what ya said, Zeke! ::)

Fished from 4 till 8pm! I think this was probably my best nite ever! I caught 41 of these 50 fish! I guess I just had the magic touch tonite! ::)

Jigga,Perchfisher,and Mikey! I don't mind cleaning fish! It does take a few hours but its worth it in the end!!
If ya know what I mean! Have ya priced fish in the store lately? I've got 7 mouths to feed, so it won't go to waste thats for sure!

Thanks for the praise but I can't take any of the credit! The Good Lord has truly blessed me today! I'll tell ya what, It pays to pray in the morning and ask the Lord to Bless Me Today!!! When I caught those crappies, I was shouting at the top of my lungs, "PRAISE THE LORD"

Nice bunch of crappies you got today lynn. your going to have to take me to that lake someday. There is nothing wrong woth eating those pickerel either. I think they are one tasty fish just filleted out and fried. There are two things you have to consider.... one is those pesky pin bones and the other is that they usually have to be over 20 inches to get anything off them.
