If you are looking for Jumbo perch, I have had great luck with a small chubby darter in perch color. For more numbers, you can't go wrong with a small Swedish pimple, silver with a bit of chartrues and tipped with a mousy.

Try the smallest jigging Raps. The more red on it the better.

My favorite is a swedish pimple with a dropper. Size 2,3,4 works - just make sure the size gets you to the bottom quickly. I'm not sure color makes a difference, but keeping it moving does. Others, kastmaster, shucks lures and the smaller jigging raps W2, W3. unlike the spoons, jigging raps don't need bait. Unless you are using a treble dropper with a bead. That's what I use.

I really like the clown color jigging rap.
I take off the belly hook and replace it with a Hali chain.
Works awesome. It attracts them from a distance and then they hit the bait on the Hali chain.
Hope this helps,
Wiener

I've had really good luck also with the Rattl'n Flyer spoons. Bare metal can work very well at times.

I use Pimples and Raps. These are confidence baits for me and I fish them well. Find a bait you fish very well and then experiment with size then color. If you fish it well and you have confidence in it you can catch them on anything that is mentioned in this thread. Good Luck and tight lines

All these perch came in half a day to a plain hook with a fathead... Use an old school jig stick with as big a sinker as you can find to get back in the zone quick! Eyes work good too... they are tougher

My go to lure is a rapala jigging rap 5/16 2" body in rainbow trout or perch color. Also like #2 Swedish pimple in silver with a 2" dropper tied to it. I tip the hooks with spikes on both.
