Lake Charlevoix

Just curious if anybody has information on ice conditions on the main lake and if people are fishing it today? Thinking about trying it tomorrow.

Yep, I was out there with them. I got a few sunday. Would have had a limit but I lost 1 at the hole. I waited for over 5 hours before I caught my first fish, marked at least 1 school of cisco that chased me up and down a bit and then quickly left. Had smaller marks all day that kept me occupied that I later realized were smelt.

Mid-afternoon after a lot of people had left a big school rolled through and just started annihilating my spoon. I mean I couldn't reel it away from them fast enough. Bam bam caught a few fish and then it was over almost as fast as it began. Left shortly after. Thrilling when it happened but I had to be really patient.
