North West ice

Was out yesterday on 10 inches to start , 4 of garbage , 6 solid . By end of day 8 inches , 4 garbage 4 solid . Black ice starting to show thru and candle sticking starting . Today's sun will make things dangerous fast , be very careful if venturing out .

-way too warm way too quickly- oh well. Depends on what was left if anything will be there to firm back up- slush will re-freeze on top of even a little black ice; but will re-melt just as quickly when it heats up again.- I'm gonna check out the northwest one more time to see if the ice has remained; if not- I'll take a nice hike instead& fish open water for the rest  of the season.
