Never fished there, what do they mainly go for? Perch?

Perch get a lot of the attention, but the Smelt fishing is good too.
For larger fish go for the Lake Trout, Whitefish and Burbot.

Joe, Thanks for all the reports you give. Even though I dont fish up that way, reading your reports is interesting. I also know that you put a lot of time & effort ,not to mention gas into what you do. Thanks again.

We have family in Battle Creek and if we ever make it down there in the wintertime I want try Gull Lake for some smelt
