Crappie fishing on Oahe
« on: Aug 05, 2018, 02:39 PM »
Good afternoon; wondering if anyone could give me some info on a starting point to look for Crappie on Lake Oahe; I'm from Kansas and take my son each year to an out of state ice fishing location as a new adventure for him; started when he was 5 years old locally. He is now 18 and outfishes me most days. LOL I heard about a winter crappie bite on Oahe and any info would be greatly appreciated; not lookin for the exact GPS coordinates any of you fish; just techniques or baits you use and general area to start looking for them; thank you in advance.

Lived in Mobridge,SD a few years back and heard of guys catching crappies around the spur line bridge on oahe. I used to catch a few in the spring pitching jigs and minnows around the wakapala bridge near the grand river casino.
