Title: WIND DAMAGED ICE
Post by: Joe in T.C. on Feb 12, 2023, 04:26 PM
The wind ripped apart Boardman lake this weekend.

This happened on Lake Skegemog a few weeks ago. One week great fishing, the next week open water where I like to fish.

There still is some fishable ice in the area, but its going much too fast with wind, rain, and 50 degree temps in the forecast. :(

Good Luck All

To be fair, boardman lake had just frozen over a couple days prior anyways. Couldn't have had more than an inch or 2 of ice.

I thinking closer to a couple of weeks ago, last week was pretty warm.
But I agree it never had safe ice this year. I have never been a fan of skinny ice.
A couple of guys did fish it thou, blurring that line again. :P
I try to keep an eye on it since its within walking distance of my house and can be good fishing.
Hopefully we will have better ice next year.

good Luck all
