where do you think that the largest bluegill would be? Do the fish school with fish their own size?

Normally there are big ones where the small ones are. But as with any other fishing you need to be mobile. Count on drilling a lot of holes, trying a lot of different color / shape patterns, and trying different lakes if they just won't turn on.

I have to agree with Lobes, sometimes there right near the dinks and wont bite till sunset or after. You have to figure out your particular lake. Ive had no fish days for 5 or 6 hours and moved to deep(20 FT.) water and found big ones right on the bottom. They wouldnt move to shallow water till sunset.? Weird. Also every lake has its own little quirks, espically pressured lakes.

ive  caught some slobs at sunset and after on glow jigs out of the same hole that only produced small gills an hour before
