Poles on the Fish Trap Voyager are getting a little rusty on the bottom.

Not sure what is best to do. I bought some graphite dry spray to lube the poles up & figured dry graphite won't freeze on it. Should a guy run some light sand papper over the rusty poles first?

Arctic Siren Tip-Up is missing the pin that the flag pulls out to set it off.

Where can a guy get a replacement for the pin?

Last, My cousins Aqua Vu Scout charged up and turns on but just shows a very blurry screen and can't get the camera to show a pic. Anyone have some tips on anything I can check out to get it to work.

I would use some sandpaper on the the pole and for the aqua vu i would replace the battery.

You can get replacement pins for the Arctic Siren.

As for the poles, I wouldn't get too aggressive with the sand paper.
Just clean off the corrosion and put some wax on to keep away the rust.

As for the Aqua Vu, I would check all connections to make sure they are good.
Clean the lens on the camera and the t.v. screen.

If that doesn't work, take the battery out and have it tested.

Hope this helps,

Wiener

I unplugged the camera and plugged in a different camera to the tv and it worked great. Not sure if it is the pins in the connection or what. I'll have to do some more with it tonight.

Use Scotchbrite instead of sandpaper on the poles.

Use Scotchbrite instead of sandpaper on the poles.

Or fine steel wool.....that'll polish 'em, too!  :)

Steel wool's a good idea. Takes the rust off without scratching up the metal too much. Then use good ol' WD40 or something.
Get the flag!

OOOO steel wool dipped in car wax is a nice buffer pad for removing light corrosion. Don't use any wax if its heavy.

Don't know much about the camera, but it seems like your narrowing it down.

Not sure what the pins look like, but you might find a nail the same diameter a the hardware store.  Just get one long enough to put a loop in it with a pair of needle nose pliers to connect it to the flag.

Just some ideas, hope they help.

I have seen a spray in hardware stores claiming to be like a galvanized coating, maybe you can find something like that. At the very least a good rust proof paint will slow things down.

more than likely water got into the camera housing and once it gets in it can't get out...I had one that I got open without breaking it, and just dried the whole camera out and it worked as good as new...until I dropped it down below 40 feet and water pushed its way back in there again...
