Canobie Lake Trout Help..
« on: Jan 30, 2014, 02:23 PM »
The wife and I are going to be hitting up canobie lake tomorrow for some trout fishing. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck or have any information to help get us on the fish a little bit? Best place to park would probably be the boat launch, but wasn't sure if anyone has been out there this year?

id be careful parking at the launch.. resident only I believe.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Yup resident only at the boat launch  i got a $25 parking ticket there from the windham police your best bet is to park at the Salem pumping station easy on easy off lake

There is parking by the pump house. Good access point.

I would access it from the pumping station on the Salem side and I haven't had luck with trout there but I was hammering pickerel and bass in about 10 feet of water right there by the pumping station ....

I got one earlier in the winter in the place treeguymark mentioned. I also saw a guy have luck out from the pump station in a small cove. He was using power bait (mixed colors). I also had luck in the cove in about 8 FOW. Just find a place with a sandy bottom and you have a legitimite chance. I've seen a few guys go out in the deeper waters but I haven't seen them have any luck.

best of luck! I'm hoping to get out this Saturday on Canobie
