awesome video. I especially like the guy who caught the huge Laker on the cusk line. what a monster. I was glad to be part of the circus last year and definitely will be this year. I'll have my radio tuned in again this year. I usually go up with troutmaster! hopefully this is the year I'll get a 16 pounder!!...lol

hi all i to can not wait to get the house out maybe this weekend if the ice holds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also this circus already has a LAKER TAKER !!!!!!!! just wanted to throw that out there ONE OF ME IS ENOUGH

This will be me and my buddys First year Ice fishing up there. What part of the lake is the best fishing we have a place in Hebron and were thinking about puting out house down off Hebron beach. Whats your thoughts on the fishing down there? ~Chris

The open spot Tippin spoke of runs from the bouy to about the north end of the parking lot.....and the north end of Mayhew has lost ice; open water is working down the shoreline of the island. The wind isn't too bad, but the water is moving......

So if the rest of it holds and the open spots do skim, they will be areas of concern for thin ice for a while!

A lot of folks put their houses off Hebron beach. You aren't far from the mouth of the Cockermouth River where there are lots of yellow perch and pickeral. There are many "best" spots out there with varying results. But it really depends what type of fish you are going after (perch, lakers, cusk, rainbows, etc).

so my next question qwould be WHeres the PARTY at! LOL Look like most the Vids and pics are in front of old Bungallo village? I need to know were to bring the Hot Whisky and Cold Beers when im board!

Yeah, that's where most of us start out. We move to the north end of Mayhew after that when the ice is good and then we scatter after that. Depends on access, launch points, ice conditions, etc. Bring your 2-way FRS radio on channel 5.5 and give us a shout. We will find you.

There was a guy at the foot of the lake; I stopped to talk with him, he hadn't caught anything. It was very windy...can you believe it?

That picture looks very promising, Windy at Newfound? NO WAY!!! lol

Winni is still holding together, Weirs and Blackcat are still locked up, Rattlesnake broke apart.....its all coming together nicely!
