Multiple species with a side pool for the biggest fish or number of flags.

id skip the number of flags, how do you prove that? some could be wind flags
i think it should just go biggest fish, side pool most species or most fish

last year there were probly 12 people fishing , it was just for trout but all that was caught was one rainbow and one brown

Are you sure it was a brown and not a salmon.

lol yeah me and my buddy actually won with it , it was small to the rainbow was like 15 inches and the brown was like 15 1/2 , beat the rainbow by 3 ounces ,
wasnt as good of a turnout as they expected but they had a few prizes donated , tackle bag , scale , and some small trophy's

it was pretty fun though

i was thinking not this saturday but next saturday or sunday!! what are the regulations on the pond i was thinking have a buy in for different speciesanywhere from a $1- $5 buy in per species what do you think?

i would just go with a trout derby again, but its up to you, i dont think f&g will let us go for bass, but jay had no problems setting up the trout derby last year, just set a date, contact fish and game, and let them know you want to have a small trout derby on pleasent and they will set you up , the only thing is who is going to fish by the boat ramp and hold the money etc, who is running this thing is my question i guess

and make it a biggest fish so there is some sort of prizes with the bass trout perch and stuff just buy in to a catagory and that where the money goes.. winner in the catagory of fish where you bought into takes the prize!!

you can ask f&g about multiple species but i think you will have better luck with trout, your better off haveing like 1 maybe 2 payouts to just because who knows how good the turnout will be, or the fishing for that matter

contact fish and game and see if you can, i dont think they will allow the bass, the perch are all small in there but i guess you could do it? i just dont see many people buying in for the perch category, there all pretty small there to whiteys and yellows

im not sure but i know he did it pretty fast and easy last year, id just call em up and ask what you have to do to start a small derby , then just let them know where and when your doing it

i know it seems like a good idea to do multiple species but its more of a pain and you never know how many people will show up or how many will fish for them. plus probly wont be able to do bass

i would just go for biggest trout, any species, either length or weight
