So here it is .... If you could only have one lure to fish with from your tackle box, what would you choose?

well my most promising lure to date is a thomas spoon. it has to be gold. i never tied on and gotten skunked yet. i nail trout , large mouth , big sunny"s, perch-(white and yellow),and even caught cat fish on them!

gold cp swing in line spinner....thomas lures makes a fair imitation.... caught everything  from trout to shad on the delaware river with them ........black roostertail spinner is 2nd choice....

Well that's a tough one. If I had to choose I would have to say, HMMmmmmm, OK, first would be YUM Rubber Crawfish 4", and second would be Swedish Pimple, thanks to Jcaughtem. (thats marmish) LOL

good choice with the black rooster tail there holehawg. i have a couple differant sizes and nailed many, many fish on em.

 #2 mepps Agilia long willow blade in pearl undressed is my go to lure. My buddies say that it sucks all the fishing mojo out of the air so only I catch fish.
 I can fish rocks or weeds, fast or slow, Shallow or deep, rock hop or troll.

I've always did well with Bass on a #4 regular Agilia, undressed. your putting a curly on a treble?

Keep the trebles on i hook the curly by just hooking the tip maybe a quarter inch.I get bass, perch bullhead, trout, smallies, pike, tigers PICKERAL and even a bowfin.The key is a very slow retrieve small fish will nibble the curly .I used to use bucktails but fish seemed to follow only.THE CURLY TRIGGERS THE BIGHT.

The kid is exelent go with the treble.The curlys are cheap and actually stay  on the hooks well you can always trim the grub depending on the secies.

Since you brought  up the bass i lost one at my pike hole that i believe was over ten lbs an old looking fish right as i was going to net her.I also lost a huge pike tha got under the only log in the place id say 25 lbs.I havent fished that much since the baby but that bass had me depressed.

that is a good rod pooley, i have a small ugly stick that i use for bassin and it has been flawless.

The giant bass snapped 15 lb trilene my drag was a lil tight i didnt give hime enough respect plus the fish must have known it would be part of my trophy collection.15 is good but ad a log or weeds and you will wish you had more.Dicks sp goods has this line called p line i got that on my lure pole 30lb and 60 lb spider on my live bait rig i use bait up to one lb big pike inhale them i can set the hook within 3 seconds.pLINE has a much smaller diameter and its super clear easy casting.For bass you could use 20 lb without a hassle.
