I always liked the looks of those jigs.  Have you had any luck with them before?

Jeff's jigs are killer. Too bad he is always out of stock.  Yours look pretty darn close.

I have used Jeffs jigs quite a bit the last couple of years.  Did you try the loon epoxy with a uv cure light?  It is a tough jig to make, i tried a handful of times and havent really connected on a good looking one yet

go out in the garage and get some seal all. put some color on the hook with nail polish, marker, flashaboo, glitter, wire, tiny sequins...……………………..endless things to use for this.  then plop the glob of "seal all" on there and rotate till set up.(vise grips or tie vise is almost a must for trhis) have toothpick handy to control/manipulate it if needed.  takes couple min. to set enough that it wont run.  when it starts to set up poke in your tail, wings or antennas. easy as frying an egg!

no I haven't bought that uv stuff yet.  I always forget it when at the store.  im sure its a lot harder finish.

That's a good idea.  I use goop to fix just about everything around the house, so I always have a tube of that handy.

All this stuff works. I use Marine glue for tons of stuff. Had a rip in boat cover and had some pieces of material left over, sewed small piece over hole with Fire Line, then sealed it with Marine caulk, wet finger and smoothed it out> That was 4 years ago and looks great today.
For fly tying my buddy sent me a Bondic Led UV Pen. It contains resin and a UV light. I've tied Many flies with it and still hasn't run out. I ordered  refill resin  and got two for like $15.00. Cheap and works great. There is a good video on it.

pen sounds like the ticket for fine work. thanks for the tip.

they don't have to be small either.  have made some bigger ones for under floats or drop shoting.

crude but the fish don't mind. lol
