Title: Hayward Float Suit vs. Boreas Float Suit
Post by: rlmaggar on Feb 28, 2024, 09:24 PM
Looking to purchase one of these two suits from Windrider.  Other than the price, I see that the Hayward suit has zip out jacket and liner for the bibs.  The Boreas does not.   Any reason one would be better than the other?  Figuring convenience in being able to use the zip out suit for a rainsuit is the only thing I can think of.  Anyone have any experience with either?

The wife and I have the boreas suits and love them, but only use them ice fishing and a little bit  of the early boat season for the warmth they provide. A great suit for us anyways.

I have the Boreas bibs and the Hayward jacket The jacket is plenty warm for this ice season! The zip out is handy for when it's too warm and you want some wind/rain protection. I use it on cool mornings for wind/rain breaker for fall fishing and also hunting. Get multi season use out of it. Plowed thru lots of black berry patches no issues, it's very durable.
