RI IceShanty End of Season gathering

Not sure if you guys may have done this before this year but was wondering if you ever have a gathering at the end of the season?  Now like I said in another thread I think we'll have some ice for a few weeks still.  The idea was to pick a bar somewhere, it would seem somewhere on 44 or that area would be central to most, and pick a time and have everyone from the site get together for a few beers and wings or whatever. Trade war stories so to speak.

Im in....even though I am just a rookie I would definately enjoy meeting some of the guys, having a few beers and trading our stories & information.  Great idea...there are many good places to meet...central to everyone....Parente's on Rt 7 near Bryant College.....Box Seats right adjacent to Stump Pond in Smithfield...Cady's "Roadhouse" Tavern on Rt 44 in Glocester...Georges Pizza & Pub in Pascoag (best pizza I have ever had)....and the list can go on and on...point is, we should get together....somewhere. ...can't wait....IM IN!!!!  Great Idea!!!!!

ok, I live in Warwick and haven't been to any of these places yet.  I think pool table and any age are a must.  Then what day, Sunday afternoon? Sat night?  What's the place you were talking about STANN?

Watchaug has a state area for picnic and table cooking areas and a shelter all on the water

If everyones into the tailgating at Stump I got the place. Just past the boat ramps on Log Road, directly opposite "the point", in front of the log cabin is a open lot across the street from the pond, with a large brush pile just waiting to be burnt. Just so happens this is my pile and my lot (private property). If everyone is into this, I was thinking on Saturday (3-6-10), all the ice should be gone by then, so no one will miss any fishing for the day and the weather should be turning nice(r). Tightline said he could bring the grill, we could divey up food responsibilities and everyone can BYOB. I'll provide the accelorant and match! Lets say 12pm till.....? There is limited parking at this spot, but its a short walk from the boat ramp (from the ramp to "the point" per se). Not carved in stone, but what does everyone think?

The lot sounds great only problem is that I couldn't do a Saturday til after 4 but if the everyone else does I'll see what I can do to make it.
