This wind is relentless! As cold as it has been in the last week and especially last night and today, still plenty of open water on Sunapee. I want to push the house out so bad I can taste it! Crossing my fingers for a few calm and crisp nights... Ice all along the shore, and the Newbury side looked very promising when I passed it on Friday. I've been able to get out to about 25 fow for the past few days but traveling light, good 4in where I fish but very thin not too far away and you can't tell the difference now with the snow cover. No lake trout on the ice yet, I've had some action on the flasher and seen a few on the camera but none have committed. So nice to be back at it and learning more about Laker fishing every day... but I'd still like to be sitting in my comfy chair drinking whisky in the "office" instead of camping on a bucket in tornado conditions.
