Older Eskimo is sluggish
« on: Jan 28, 2007, 10:42 AM »
I have an older eskimo auger. It's probably 15+ years old. It's running sluggish and the RPMs don't seem up to speed compared to what it normally is. My dad's buddy suggested that it was running to lean or rich (I can't remember which now)  What I'd like to know is if anyone has any experiance in adjusting the carb on the older style eskimo augers. It has 2 adjustments screws that I can see. One is an idle adjustment that will allow you to set the throttle a little more positive and the other is a carb adjustment screw. I know that on the jiffys there is a low and high speed adjustment screw. Anyone have any suggestions??

Thanks
