Just wondering if anyone has removed the threaded wing bolt and changed over to a snap pin to allow quicker disassemby for transporting a clam plate/mora combo. Was thinking of drilling out the hole a little to fit a snap pin tightly and just running that instead of having to try to get the threads to start every time.

Thanks

You will induce a wiggle into the shaft. Just get a replacement bolt and selflocking nut. Or buy a new wingnut
Thats Why They Call It Fishing.

You will induce some slop, but that slop should allow the thing to run true once you get a hole started.

I blew out those 6mm wing nuts last season and drilled them out and installed Clevis pins

Any issues with it seeming sloppy?

I use a quarter  inch hitch pin. Snap on, snap off. No separate loose parts.

Just don't get your pants too close, it might grab it and you'll get your shorts wound up pretty tight.  ;D

If your pants catch on those pins.....you’ve got bigger problems lol.

I don't understand the point of this........Not really any faster or slower then the butterfly knobs.......I get doing a pin vs a nut and bolt........
