Shipper. A while back you suggested to me, getting a guide for my up coming trip to mille lacs. Is there anyone that you suggest. I checked the mille lacs home page. Just trying to get the most bang for my buck.

Most of those guys can find you fish. I guess you should see who your resort has available. They may give you a break on the price if you are getting a sleeper too.

OK, OK, I am gonna defend the super slab! I have to! :D

Mille Lacs does not suck. It is in the top ten in the midwest for trophy potential. There are pike and muskies in there that could eat you alive, and it is the premier smallmouth bass fishery in Minnesota. Mille Lacs has produced fish in the last five years that you have no shot at in 99% of other waters in the US. The problem with Mille Lacs is its size and complexity. You cant just drive out to a sleeper shack and hammer 45 inch pike and pig walleyes. The guys that do well on that lake invest hundreds of hours in research and time on the lake. I wish I could do this, but I cant. I stick to the peak times in the early and late ice and leave the rest for the pros and retirees that have time to burn out there.

It is true that she is in a down swing and the lake is PACKED with bait fish, but if you wait for perfect conditions, you will die waiting.

Mille Lacs does not suck, we do. ;D

Hire a guide, get out of your sleeper, and give her a try. :)

I also lied, i went back , and got skunked agian, but im not gonna give up, she hasent beat me yet , i will catch fish on that lake or die trying!!!!
